About the work

“God is on our Side”. A paradoxical remark considering the very notion of war is a complete anathema. These works are not intended as political statements, rather, they are a reflection of the negative characteristics inherent in human nature, and as I see it, the perpetrator of all wars.

The female figure represents the duality of earth mother and the passive element. The male, active, is also equated with the more aggressive, predatory side to our nature.

This does not imply a literal interpretation, rather it refers to the human psyche.
