Alfred PARSONS: artist
Before he took up painting professionally, Alfred Parsons worked as a Post Office clerk. He studied at the South Kensington Art School in London and was later appointed Professor of the same institution. Known for his realistic pastoral scenes and landscapes, Parsons was also a book illustrator and prolific painter of gardens and plants.
