About the work

My mother Ronnie would often be treated badly by people because she
was different. She had a form of social anxiety which turned her into
being housebound for most of my childhood.
It came from severe childhood trauma that she kept secret from
everyone and was only told to me when I was an adult.
When I was growing up, I only wanted her to be liked by people, but
she never wanted anyone near her. In those times, she would teach me
about art because she wanted to be an artist. She had to go out into the
world to find work to help her family financially.
