Julie - Yamatji Girl
Julie DOWLING: artist
I painted this portrait of myself in my painting hat.
My new haircut made two large curls of hair go either side of the hat.
I painted myself as a renaissance master in portraiture as a whim.
I was painting very large works at the time that seemed very
overwhelming to do because I’m not very tall.
