About the work

Kata Ala is my father's country and on the road to Tjuntjuntjarra near Kumanara Bore in the Great Central Desert of Western Australia. I used to camp out there with my husband and all the other families. There are many rock holes at Kata Ala and a good place to dig for tjala (honey ants), marku (witchetty grub) and kampurarrpa (bush raisin).
