About the work


This artwork was created during a paper workshop in Patjarr. Mamu (monsters) are depicted, characterised by their hairy bodies and talon like hands. Mamu are dark, menacing characters that come out at night. Their eyes glow red and are source of fear amongst Yarnangu people.
